Mineral:Calcite with Quartz and Prehnite
Locality:Vermont
Description:Large 42 mm translucent yellow rhombohedral calcite crystal in a cavity lined with lustrous colorless quartz crystals to 18 mm with minor areas of translucent pale-green prehnite crystals. The exact locality is unknown, the basalt matrix is unusual.
