Description: | Transparent purple-gray sodalite crystals, variety hackmanite, in white marble with brown phlogopite mica. The sodalite crystal is tenebrescent: fades to light-lavender in daylight, but turns deep purple after exposure to UV illumination. Ex. Bob Holzer (1934-2009) collection |
