Mineral:Spinel with Chondrodite
Locality:Amity, Orange County, New York
Description:Octahedral green-gray spinel crystals on orange-brown chondrodite. The spinel is completely crystallized on all surfaces and some faces have overgrowth of smaller spinel crystals. The spinel has many subsurface fractures but the faces are smooth.
Overall Size:3x3x2.5 cm
Crystals:1-22 mm
