Locality: | railroad cut on eastern shore of Hudson River, between Schodack Landing and Poolsburg, Columbia County, New York |
Description: | Many lustrous transparent colorless quartz crystals lining surfaces of greenish Ordovician matrix with brown limonite stains in one area. The quartz grew in narrow veins running through the matrix. Personally collected ca. 1994 |
