Description: | Dark gray-metallic chalcocite coating pyrite crystals to 8 mm across. This formation of chalcocite-coated pyrite used to be called by the varietal name ducktownite after Ducktown, Tennessee where it was first observed. Ex. Robert P. Bates (1926-2008) collection #174 |
