Mineral:Azurite and Cuprite var. Chalcotrichite
Locality:Ray Central Mine, Mineral Creek District, Pinal County, Arizona
Description:Brecciated matrix with several areas coated with sparkling translucent blue azurite crystals to 0.5 mm and transparent red-brown cuprite crystals to 0.5 mm. The cuprite crystals are the slender, elongated variety: chalcotrichite. Collected pre-1909 when Ray Central Mine was acquired by Ray Consolidated Mine Co.
