Description: | Doubly-terminated translucent purple amethyst quartz crystal 55 mm across with partial overgrowth of sericite mica microcrystals. Red-brown hematite microcrystals are included in the outer layers of the amethyst quartz obscuring the translucency. Ex. Joe Cilen (1916-1997) #7805 |
