Locality: | west of Fourmile Creek, north of Canon City, Fremont County, Colorado |
Description: | Double-sided botryoidal gray-purple fluorite over a central plate that is visible on the fresh surfaces on the bottom. The fluorite is translucent purple with a dull gray outer layer that some dealers remove by sandblasting. Fluorescent in UV. From a one-time find in the early 1980s by Don Knowles |
