Locality:Central Highland Belt, near Ratnapura, Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka
Description:Translucent colorless (very pale yellow) di-pyramidal hexagonal sapphire crystal, the gem variety of the mineral species corundum, with satin luster on the crystal faces caused by alluvial action. A smaller sapphire partial crystal protrudes on one side.
Overall Size:18x5x4 mm
Crystals:2-18 mm
