Locality:Frontier Quarry, Lockport, Niagara County, New York
Description:Small cluster of lustrous translucent golden-brown sphalerite crystals to 4 mm on colorless dolomite crystals to 1 mm. The sphalerite crystals look beautiful under magnification. Sphalerite, a sulfide, is uncommon in the Lockport formation.
