Locality:Prospect Park Quarry, Prospect Park, Passaic County, New Jersey
Description:Lustrous smoky-to-amethyst quartz crystals lining one face of gray basalt. The color of the quartz varies from pink gray to purple. The prism faces on the smoky crystals have surfaces composed of smaller-parallel crystal faces. Ex. Joe Cilen (1916-1997) #15757, originally collected in 1940
