Mineral:Prehnite pseudomorphs after Glauberite with Calcite
Locality:Fanwood Quarry (Weldon Quarry), Watchung, Somerset County, New Jersey
Description:Lustrous translucent green prehnite pseudomorphs after blocky glauberite crystals to 15 mm long, with transparent rhombohedral colorless calcite crystals to 8 mm. The glauberite formed first, was overgrown with prehnite, then the glauberite dissolved.
