Description: | Very large plate of translucent blue-green botryoidal smithsonite on gray matrix. The bottom was sawn flat to reduce bulk without damaging the smithsonite crystals. The smithsonite is lapidary-grade (carving or cabochons) and varies from 5-25 mm thick. Ex. Ernie Schlichter (1929 -2007) |
