Locality:Route 80 road cut, near Leonia, 2.8 km west of the George Washington Bridge near Leonia, Bergen County, New Jersey
Description:One-time find of green celadonite (EDS confirmed) crystals to 0.5 mm on translucent calcite crystals to 4 mm collected during work on Route 80 to stabilize the exposed rock face. The specimen formed in a fracture in the Palisades Sill.
