Description: | Rich specimen of lustrous violet-brown bladed axinite crystals covering one face of light-colored matrix. The axinite crystals are transparent and some crystals have a partial coating of greenish microcrystals, possibly clinochlore. Ex. Dr. Eugene E. Sensel (1911-2000) collection #B74; acquired in 1961 from John S. Albanese (1898-1969) |
