Locality:Butte Mining District, Summit Valley, Silver Bow County, Montana
Description:Sharp wedge-shaped tennantite crystals to 6 mm on colorless milky quartz crystals to 15 mm plus minor yellow-metallic pyrite crystals to 5 mm. Some tennantite crystals are hollow pseudomorphs or have overgrowth of gray-metallic microcrystals (enargite?). Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010); acquired in 1982 from Trevillion-Johnson Gems, Butte, Mt.
