Description: | Translucent blue-gray corundum crystal with tapered, barrel-shaped hexagonal form and dark metallic ilmenite crystals to 2 mm are included in the surfaces. The surfaces of the corundum crystal are pitted with earthy remnants of soil in the crevices. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection #144; originally acquired ca. 1940 |
