Description: | Uncommonly large crystal of dark metallic uraninite with smooth, lustrous crystal faces. The bottom face has stepped growth patterns where the uraninite intersected the underlying matrix. Large uraninite crystals like this are hard to find. Radioactive. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection #787; originally acquired in 2001 |
