Description: | Exceptionally sharp brown goethite pseudomorphs after striated cubic pyrite crystals up to 24 mm across. The cubic pyrite crystallized first, then altered molecule by molecule to goethite maintaining the original shape of the pyrite. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection #213, originally acquired in 1941 from Martin Ehrmann (1904-1972) |
