Locality:Houdaille Quarry (Consolidated Quarry), Little Falls Twp., north of Montclair State University, Essex County, New Jersey
Description:Limonite-stained colorless quartz pseudomorphs after prismatic anhydrite crystals to 25 mm long. The anhydrite crystallized first, was coated with thin quartz, then the anhydrite dissolved leaving cavities in the shape of the anhydrite crystals. Ex. Albert J. Beres collection
