Mineral:Halite with Sylvite
Locality:Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico
Description:Transparent halite with color varying from orange to nearly colorless, plus minor white sylvite in crevices. The surface looks melted because it was washed in water (water soluble). Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection #50, originally acquired in 1937 from Porter Chemical Co.
