Description: | Partial crystal of transparent lustrous translucent dark-green epidote with no matrix attached. Nalle noted this specimen was extraordinarily large for the locality where epidote crystals rarely exceed 25 mm. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection #599b, employed at Crestmore 1951-1969, rising to managing director of Riverside Cement Co., personally collected in 1964 |
