Description: | Classic specimen of platy white albite crystals to 10 mm with scattered lustrous transparent dark-smoky quartz crystals to 14 mm. John Oliver first discovered the diggings named for him after the 1938 hurricane that uprooted many trees revealing quartz. Ex. John Sinkankas (1915-2002), purchased from John Oliver (1910-1980) in 1958 |
