Locality:Eastern Rock Products Quarry (Benchmark Quarry), St. Johnsville, Montgomery County, New York
Description:Long plate of sulfide-rich matrix with many crystals on all sides of Herkimer Diamonds, a variety of quartz crystal to 55 mm with translucent gray saddle-shaped dolomite crystals to 5 mm. Some of the quartz crystals have brown limonite surface stains.
