Locality:Crestmore Quarry, Riverside County, California
Description:Rich specimen of translucent green vesuvianite crystals to 4 mm in white matrix composed of monticellite and cuspidine, variety custerite. Veins of an unidentified white mineral, possibly calcite or wollastonite, fluoresces green under UV illumination Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection, employed at Crestmore 1951-1969, rising to managing director of Riverside Cement Co.
