Description: | Large lustrous translucent brown dodecahedral grossular garnet crystals on massive crystallized grossular matrix with translucent white calcite filling voids between the grossular crystals. The calcite could be removed to expose more grossular. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection, employed at Crestmore 1951-1969, rising to managing director of Riverside Cement Co. |
