Mineral:Stilbite with Calcite and Pyrite
Locality:700' level, Sta.167, Queens Tunnel of NYC Water Tunnel #3, Woodside, Queens, New York City, New York
Description:One of forty specimens recovered from the new water tunnel under New York City in 1999. Gneiss matrix coated with pale brown stilbite crystals to 3 mm with overgrowth of white calcite crystals to 4 mm (fluoresces) and a few ball formations of pyrite.
