Description: | Many elongated staurolite crystals to 17 mm long in silvery mica schist with small red almandine garnet crystals to 2 mm. The schist weathered leaving the harder staurolite and almandine exposed in high relief. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection; personally collected in 1994 |
