Description: | Lustrous red-black rutile crystals twinned through the center with distinct twin plane visible. The rutile crystal surfaces have complex crystallization patterns throughout. The rutile appears metallic, but is actually translucent red. Ex. Larry Krause (1945-2010) collection |
