Description: | Translucent green emerald crystals, the green gem variety of the mineral species beryl, to 5 mm long in translucent white quartz with slender black schorl tourmaline crystals to 18 mm long. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection #188; acquired in 1940 from Morrell G. Biernbaum (1895-ca.1938) (changed name in later years to Baldwin) |
