Description:Lustrous translucent pink-gray axinite crystals with minor colorless calcite between crystals accompanied by letter describing how it was collected by Pomona College in 1942. Specific gravity testing verifies the axinite identification. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection, employed at Crestmore 1951-1969, rising to managing director of Riverside Cement Co.
