Locality: | Alakamisy Itenina, south of Antsirabe, Fianarantsoa, Haute Matsiatra, Madagascar (Type Locality for Liddicoatite = near Antsirabé) |
Description: | Small single slice of a liddicoatite tourmaline polished on both sides to highlight the internal green triangular color zoning. Note the outer edges are water-worn from alluvial action. Recovered from 8 meter deep ancient river bed below a rice field. |
