Locality:Xuebaoding Mountain near Pingwu, Sichuan Province, China
Description:Classic specimen of lustrous black twinned cassiterite crystals to 18 mm on platy muscovite mica crystals to 4 mm. The cassiterite appears opaque, but shows areas of transparent brown when illuminated from the rear.
