Locality: | Gorge Road condominium excavation, Edgewater, Palisades Sill, Bergen County, New Jersey |
Description: | The largest specimen collected from a quartz-pyrite formation in a fracture joint in the Palisades Sill diabase. The surfaces are composed of translucent milky quartz crystals to 5 mm with cavities where the pyrite decomposed to limonite. From my personal collection; collected ca. 1999 |
