Description: | Sparkling cluster of lustrous pyrargyrite-proustite crystals to 2 mm on colorless quartz crystals to 3 mm. The pyrargyrite-proustite crystals appear metallic, but can be seen under 20x magnification to be actually translucent red (a.k.a. ruby silver). Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection; gift from mining company during visit in 1986 |
