Locality:Upper New Street Quarry, Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey
Description:Lustrous yellow-green datolite epimorph after a 45 mm bladed anhydrite crystal. The anhydrite formed first, then was overgrown by datolite crystals, finally the anhydrite dissolved away leaving the hollow formation. Datolite pseudomorphs are uncommon. Ex. Steve Chamberlain collection #68998; ex. Ken Walling in 1985; ex. John Geiges collection #884; acquired in 2003 from M. Walter
