Description: | Elongated formation of parallel crystals of lustrous translucent-to-transparent smoky quartz with select faces coated green chlorite microcrystals. Several areas are coated with translucent yellow calcite crystals to 5 mm. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection #504b; originally acquired in 1976 from Newmont chief geologist at the mine |
