Mineral:Chrysocolla on Calcite with Chalcocite
Locality:Chimney Rock Quarry, Bound Brook, Somerset County, New Jersey
Description:White calcite with several cavities coated with vivid blue-green chrysocolla on scalenohedral calcite crystals to 3 mm and dark metallic chalcocite crystals to 1 mm. Some cavities are lined only with translucent colorless calcite crystals. Ex. Robert Hauck collection, co-founder of the Sterling Hill Mining Museum.
