Locality:Carrillo Ranch, Chihuahua, Mexico
Description:Complete agate quartz geode sawn through the center to reveal the center cavity lined with lustrous purple amethyst quartz crystals to 4 mm with scattered brown and colorless calcite crystals to 6 mm. The banded agate fluoresces under UV illumination. Ex. Tim Swan collection at River Valley Mineral Museum (Rumford, Maine) #1300
