Description:Translucent vivid-blue man-made chalcanthite crystals (copper sulfate) that were grown on a fragment of natural bornite-rich rock. The chalcanthite was coated with transparent acrylic to prevent dehydrations and decomposition. Ex. Tim Swan collection at River Valley Mineral Museum (Rumford, Maine) #1301. Water soluble
