Description: | Thin layer of 1 mm botryoidal calcite on gray matrix. Most of the calcite is pinkish-gray with a patch of deep magenta color caused by cobalt impurities (variety cobaltoan calcite). The calcite fluoresces under UV illumination. Collected by John Lawson (1942-2024) and Robert Lawson in May 1987 |
