Locality:Tynebottom Mine, Garrigill, Alston Moor District, Cumbria, England
Description:Thin layer of 1 mm botryoidal calcite on gray matrix. Most of the calcite is pinkish-gray with areas of deeper magenta color caused by cobalt impurities (variety cobaltoan calcite). Collected by John Lawson (1942-2024) and Robert Lawson in May 1987
