Mineral:Apophyllite on Prehnite with Calcite
Locality:O and G Industries Southbury Quarry, Southbury, New Haven County, Connecticut
Description:Large cavity lined with lustrous transparent colorless apophyllite crystals to 5 mm on translucent green prehnite crystals in hemispherical aggregates to 3 mm diameter with translucent colorless rhombohedral calcite crystals to 2 mm. From my personal collection; collected ca. 1989
