Description: | A large 15 cm transparent-to-translucent wine-red almandine garnet partial crystal in black amphibolite matrix. The almandine crystal is well exposed on two sides and is internally fractured. Obtaining large crystals is now difficult. Very heavy! Collected ca. 1993 |
