Description: | Lustrous translucent brown andradite garnet crystals exposed on the face of milky quartz mounted on an acrylic stand. The andradite garnet crystallized first, then the cavity was filled with quartz. More garnets could be exposed by removing the quartz. Ex. Alfred (Fred) DeVito (1937–2004) collection |
