Description: | Blocky white microcline crystals to 25 mm with lustrous dark-smoky quartz crystals to 15 mm from the classic miarolitic cavities of the Moat ring-dike formation. This locality was discovered after the 1938 hurricane uprooted trees with crystals in roots. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection, collected in the 1960s-70s. |
