Mineral:Quartz var. Smoky Quartz, Microcline, Albite with Hyalite Opal
Locality:Moat Mountain, west of North Conway, Carroll County, New Hampshire
Description:Transparent lustrous smoky quartz crystals to 28 mm on blocky white microcline crystals to 25 mm with platy greenish-white albite (variety cleavelandite) crystals to 3 mm. Patches of hyalite opal fluoresce green under UV illumination. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection #326, collected in the 1960s-70s.
