Locality: | Moat Mountain, west of North Conway, Carroll County, New Hampshire |
Description: | Flattened transparent smoky quartz crystal with lustrous faces that have suture patterns indicating that it is twinned following the Dauphine Law of quartz twinning. The rear face crystallized against microcline and has whitish coating in areas. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection, collected in the 1960s-70s. |
