Mineral:	Quartz var. Smoky Quartz (Dauphiné Law Twins)
Locality:	Moat Mountain, west of North Conway, Carroll County, New Hampshire
Description:	Flattened transparent smoky quartz crystal with lustrous faces that have suture patterns indicating that it is twinned following the Dauphiné Law of quartz twinning. The rear face crystallized against microcline and has whitish coating. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection, collected in the 1960s-70s.
