Description: | Lustrous rectangular yellow-brown vesuvianite crystals to 25 mm with translucent gray grossular garnet crystals to 1 mm on the surfaces. The outer layers of the vesuvianite are transparent yellow over a core of translucent yellow-brown. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection #357 |
